Arrival by train
In case you choose to use the comfortable option of arriving by Deutsche Bahn you should leave the train at “Hauptbahnhof”, Berlin’s main train station. As an alternative you can use “Ostbahnhof”, however the distance to Hotel Landhaus Schachtensee is a bit longer.
From either of these two train stations you may use the “S-Bahn” until you arrive at “Mexikoplatz”. Details are given below.
The advantages of using the S-Bahn are not only that it is fast and free of traffic jams but this will also be your first sightseeing tour. You will cross the new Government district and meet your first Berliners and how they use the public transport system. Arriving by S-Bahn will become part of you initial impressions of Berlin.

The Berlin S-Bahn - from Hauptbahnhof
From the "Hauptbahnhof" you take one of the "S-Bahns" S5 or S75 direction "Friedrichstraße". Here you have to change into the S-Bahn No. 1 direction Wannsee. After twelve stops you get out at the station "Mexiokoplatz". 300 meters later you will arrive at our hotel.
The Berlin S-Bahn - from Ostbahnhof
From "Ostbahnhof" you will reach the "Hotel Landhaus Schlachtensee" by entering one of the S-Bahns S9, S5 or S75 direction "Friedrichstraße" or "Zoologischer Garten" or "Spandau". Get out at "Friedrichstraße" and take the S-Bahn No. 1 direction "Wannsee". Get out after twelve stops at "Mexikoplatz". After 300 meters you have reached your aim.
